Calculating Illumination: Cheating?

A large number of the readers of this site are visual artists and therefore we are hoping to present more content for artists. Last year this site was the discussion hub for a true art controversy and it spurred on many debates in art forums. Previously we have presented work in progress stuff from Dave Correia and Dusty Peterson as well a great post from Dusty about digital art.  If there is a topic that you would like to see discussed or you find an interesting link, please email us… We start this off with an article on what is considered cheating and what is not, as it pertains to creating art.

The post was on Muddy Colors, a fantasy art collective and the author/artist is Arnie Fenner. This line should intrigue you enough the read the rest…

“There is no such thing as ‘cheating’ in art.”

That was the response that I got from some artists when I posted the “art controversy” last year. In fact, I took some heat from colleagues for even posting the information.

Check out the rest and then come back here for a discussion in the comments below.
